Dubai's role in the gold trade

Gold produced in Africa rarely stays there. Dubai is one of the routes it travels, and understanding why explains how settlement and pricing actually work.

A hub between production and demand

Dubai has become one of the world's significant gold trading centres, sitting geographically and commercially between producing regions in Africa and buying regions across Asia and the Gulf. Refining, vaulting, logistics, assay and finance are all available in one place.

For a producer or trader, that concentration shortens the distance between metal in hand and a settled price.

What this means for participants

A presence in that ecosystem gives Teqwah access to established refining and settlement routes, and gives participants who choose physical settlement a practical place to take delivery.

Where bullion settlement is offered, it is described precisely on the relevant page, including where delivery is and is not available.

A note on status

Operating in a market is not the same as being certified by its authorities. Teqwah describes its own operations and does not imply endorsement, licensing or membership it has not documented.
